FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1 . What is the best time to travel to Rajasthan?

Rajasthan is a colorful destination with a lot of activities, fairs, and festivals throughout the year. The most visited time is September to mid-April.

Starting at the end of April, it will get hot, and the rains occur from late July to August. In the summer months (May to August) the temperatures can go over 40 degrees Celsius and may be even higher in Jodhpur and other areas closer to the desert.

2 . What airline will you use?

We use Jet Airways, Indian Airlines, and at times (if needed for big groups) we use chartered aircraft.

3 . Does your cost include everything?

Usually our packages are all inclusive and include all meals and domestic airfare unless specified in the pricing pages of the tour. Please check the Price Chart for specific inclusions/exclusions.

Your price also covers US Postal Service or FedEx costs to mail hard copies of your travel documents within the United States/Canada. Mailing to other destinations incurs additional $50.00 shipping and handling charge.

4 . Breakfast, lunches and dinners - are they a la carte or buffet?

All our meals are buffet or traditional Indian Thali style unless specified otherwise in the pricing page of the itinerary.

5 . If I have a specific diet restriction or preference, will you be able to accommodate my request?

All efforts are made to accommodate reasonable diet preferences. We communicate the requests to the hotels and restaurants where you would be eating and it should generally be honored and ready. However, it is always better to re-coordinate the requirements with our escort / attendant who will be able to ensure the establishments know about your requirements. We also request you to re-inform the establishment about your requirement at the time you go for meals to avoid any confusion or misunderstanding.

6 . I don't want meals included; I can arrange it myself. Is there a price break?

Absolutely. We can deduct the cost of lunch and dinner if you would like. We do recommend that you take breakfast at the hotel you are staying for time and convenience purposes. You can arrange your lunch and dinner plans with the tour escort / attendant who will be able to give you best advice based on his / her / other traveler's experiences.

7 . When and where do we have lunch / dinners?

Your escort will have a list of hotels and restaurants where our guests typically enjoy lunch or dinner. We have tried our best to identify these based on our experiences and that of other travelers since quality and safety of food is an important factor while traveling. Your attendant / escort will go over the list of these establishments with you and recommend you best option. You would be able to choose the location depending on the availability and feasibility during your tour.

We usually have lunches at the start or end of a long-distance journey by car. If you prefer, we can have the food packed so you can enjoy lunch on the way, but we do not recommend stopping to get food from a non-trusted establishment enroute due to untested hygienic conditions.

8 . Can you provide a wheelchair since my companion needs assistance in sightseeing?

Wheelchairs and attendants are available but the arrangements must be made well in advance. Please do let us know and we will be happy to arrange for this. If there is an additional charge, it will be communicated to you depending on your exact requirements.

Please be aware that sightseeing vehicles and many monuments are not fully wheelchair accessible. Therefore, it will be beneficial if the party can stand and walk at least a few steps with assistance for entering/exiting vehicles and maneuvering within certain monuments.

9 . We want cheaper hotels, not Taj, Oberoi, or any lavish ones. Do you have a package like that?

Safety and security of our customers is our primary goal. We want you to enjoy every moment of your trip and not worry about your person or your belongings. In order to maintain our high standards of safety and security, we do not deal with low-end or budget hotels.

We use only standard, deluxe, and luxury, 4- or 5-star hotels such as Taj, Oberoi, Imperial, Intercontinental and Hiltons, which give you good value, best security and hygiene conditions, and excellent service. Contact us if you would like to replace a hotel that we are using in the itinerary so we may provide you a price comparison and recommendation.

10 . What kind of hotels do you use?

We use the best properties available in each location - from Taj and Oberoi to Sheratons and Hiltons. Please look at the "Accommodation" tab for this tour in order to see the list of hotels used.

11 . Your tour ends in Delhi. I would like to go to Mumbai instead. Does the tour cost change?

That is not a problem at all. We can make this minor change to your itinerary and let you know if there is a supplement charge.

12 . Are doctors available at all times?

We have identified qualified doctors in each destination you visit. These doctors are available in any case you need emergency medical attention. The hotels that we use usually have their own panels of on-call doctors available to their guests.

In any case, please let the escort / attendant / anyone in our ground office know immediately if you feel unwell or think you are going to need medical attention.

13 . Can you send me some brochures?

We can definitely send you some information, but we strongly recommend using the link on our website "Print to PDF" so you can immediately take the entire itinerary and all details of this tour directly from our website.
